Bear Valley Y Camp

Emigrant Gap, Tahoe National Forest

Camp Dates

June 22-25, 2017

Camp Rewind is a sleep away band camp for grown ups. We like to think of it as a place to retune and unwind. Whether you are a former camper or a musician looking for a unique experience, Camp Rewind is filled with music, campfires, good food, relaxation and of course… The Gong Show.

We believe that camp has the power to change lives. So does music. Our goal is to provide an opportunity to leave behind the rush of the real world, get back to what truly inspires us and make unforgettable memories.

Take A Peek

It is our mission to provide an opportunity for adults to come together and sight read concert band music. While you should be proficient in your instrument, the music will be appropriate to both the casual and accomplished musician. Camp Rewind takes a “check your ego” approach. We are here for the love of music, the inspiration that it provides and the camaraderie that comes with being part of a band. Instrumentation will be limited to concert band instruments (brass, woodwinds and percussion).

The way to your heart is through your stomach so our kitchen promises the freshest ingredients and most delicious meals. Fresh eggs, not powdered. Dark leafy greens, not iceberg lettuce. Want some dark chocolate or a peanut butter cup to make deluxe s’mores? We have you covered. Oh! And don’t worry, there will be plenty of freshly brewed craft coffee from some of our favorite independent coffee roasters.

We have exclusive access to Bear Valley YMCA Camp. Rustic but comfortable, Bear Valley has seven cabins that can accommodate up to 8 people. There is a centrally located bath house as well as a lodge with a large sunny deck, a huge field (bocce ball anyone?), a nearby swimming hole, tons of hiking trails to explore and plenty of logs around the campfire. Cabins are clean and well maintained and the kitchen is equipped to prepare delicious and healthy meals (no hotdogs, we promise).
